The Microgen Aptitude BPM Suite was designed to provide a common environment in which both business and IT users can collaborate to build and manage applications. This is achieved through a single integrated environment that is used for Business Process Management, Business Rules, Integration, Web Forms and Services Orchestration, using one common language, interface and data model.
Microgen Aptitude enables organisations to generate and support platform independent complex applications that integrate and work with existing systems in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Uniquely, Microgen Aptitude offers Event Driven processing (EDA) within the SOA context in that its functions can respond to changes in states or "events". This is important as it allows organisations to evolve and operate in real time and so meet today's demands for increased responsiveness and agility.
The Microgen Aptitude BPMS includes Transaction Process Management (TPM) with comprehensive transaction control, high-performance flow management and a throughput capability of over 5,000 transactions/second for extreme transaction processing (XTP).
Transaction processing within Microgen Aptitude promotes Straight Through Processing (STP) while still supporting traditional Batch data processing.
Additional important characteristics of the Microgen Aptitude BPMS are provided below:
- The product utilises semiotic programming and integrates with Java script and DLLs's
- Provides interfaces for thin and fat client programs written in ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, C++ and Java
- Deployed applications are configurable by IT controlling security, deployment of multiple threads and servers, caching and recovery and restart.
- Complete control over connectivity to external systems such as databases, messaging systems and files.
